Shipping Mode * Express: Fastest, most expensive. Air: Fast, moderate cost. Sea LCL: Less than container load, slower, cheaper. Sea FCL: Full container load, slowest, most cost-effective for large volumes.

Pricing Basis (Incoterm) * EXW: you handle all China-side logistics to port. FOB (most common): supplier delivers to port of loading; port fees and CFS at Chinese port may still fall on you via forwarder. CIF: supplier includes freight and basic insurance, but rates are supplier-controlled and often marked up — you lose freight negotiation leverage. DDP: supplier handles delivery; verify declared value and importer-of-record setup carefully.

Net Weight per Unit (kg) *

Gross Weight per Carton (kg) (recommended for air/express) Gross weight per carton including packaging. Used for chargeable weight on air and express shipments — forwarders bill on gross weight, not net. If omitted, net weight is used as a fallback, which may understate freight cost by 10–40%.

Duty Rate (%) * Import Duty: Tax levied by destination country on imported goods. Based on HS Code classification. Typical base rates: 0–20%. US importers sourcing from China: Section 301 tariffs add 7.5%–145%+ on top of the base rate for many categories — verify your HS code against the USTR list. Duty base: FOB value for US; CIF value for EU/other.

VAT Rate (%) (optional) Import VAT / sales-style tax rate when modeled. For US, select destination region “US” — federal VAT is not applied here (state sales tax not modeled).

Insurance Rate (%) (optional) Cargo insurance as a % of 110% of (goods + freight) when enabled (common rule-of-thumb markup). Typical reference: 0.3%–0.5%.

Destination region (VAT model) EU: simplified CIF-style VAT basis. US: VAT estimate forced to 0 (state sales tax not modeled). Other: same formula as EU with an extra caution — confirm local rules.
